Ambar puts her whole heart into every book she writes, but it was clear she poured her entire soul into this one. From page one, I felt the delicious tension between Gus and Nellie. Watching their love grow both because of and despite the obstacles presented to them is as healing as it is hot. Ambar balances spice and softness like the expert storyteller she is.
